Enjoying every moment of your presence. And now you've grow fond of holding a pen and flipping through books.....or rather sucking and pounding the pen and trying to ravage every page of the book. But hey, its a start!

Inside the Knockoff-Tennis-Shoe Factory
The pirate shoe industry is blooming as ever. I've read an interesting article the Online New York Times. If you want to be a dealer of pirated shoes, all you need to bring is a pair of the shoes you want to mass copy and distribute, determine the quantity, determine the grade (A class, double A class or even triple AAA class!) and all of it can be delivered up to your doorstep...or any determined address.
And its a well known fact that Putian, China IS the place to go to do this. Putian anyone?
But beware. There have been enforcement on this activity by China, as pointed out in this article. However, as duly pointed out, piracy in China is not considered a large crime, more of on the level of a speeding ticket.

Shoes: John Varvatos Goat Skin Filmore Chukka
Web browsing / window shopping for some casual shoes. Found and interesting information at Mens Health Blog. The article is about 'Look like boyfriend Material' and gives great pointers for all you single guys out there. But the one part that i liked is the shoe recommendations.
Below is the part of the bit part of the article.
"
She will notice your shoes: It sounds shallow, but women care about shoes. A bad shirt couldn’t make my skin crawl as much as square-toed shoes with a chunky sole. I could even ignore a pair of jeans with bedazzled pockets if the shoes were right. (Truth!) If you’re wondering what constitutes a good pair of shoes, go for a pair of leather wingtips, brogues or Chelsea boots. You can’t miss with anything by John Varvatos, Cole Haan or, if you’re on a budget, Steve Madden. If your look is casual enough, and old-school (but clean) pair Vans or Converse Chuck Taylor’s always work. "
Naturally i googled those brands highlighted in bold......and drooled over the shoe pic above. Hehe. Price range? Very pricy. Currently psyching out myself 'Nice to have' as oposed to.....I WANT ONE!. haha.

mens health run 2010 - Putrajaya
First time ever joining a running event! It was a 12.3 km run at Putrajaya. As strange as it may seem, i had fun! My personal target was to run below 2 hours. Mission accomplished. I ran (with a mixture of tired brisk walks)1 hour 45 minutes. Ok laaah. Funny events, an old man and a quite large size lady overtook me ...and i couldn't do a thing about it! Why? Too damn tired to even walk!haha. Just imagine the sheer embarrassment that i felt. Salute to those two. Another interesting sighting was a father, pushing his kid in a stroller! And yes, he pushed it all 12.3km! salute!
My friends who kinda reeled me into this frenzy, clocked much better times. As it turns out, pros run 12.3km in less than an hour! One of my friends who trains regularly, clocked a decent 1h 15 mins. And get this, for every category, only the first 300 will receive medals. The 1 h 15mins friend didn't get a medal!
How many of them ran sub 1 hour?! Do they have 2 hearts and 4 lungs!!!haha.
In short, though i still have sore legs as i'm typing this, i still enjoyed myself. Bring on the next run!
